Just had a call from this number - some rude Asian man from a call centre said that the computer registered at my IP address would be shut down as from tomorrow. Put the phone down on him - this is a scam. Had a couple of spoof emails in the last 2 weeks saying that I had donated to Migrant Helpline and wanting me to click on a link which I did not. email contained my home phone number so I have been waiting for calls like this. These are evil people who need to be stopped.

I received a call today some Indian fella apparently called Mark Williams. After he asked for my details I said I think this is a scam and I don't trust him. He said he's notnhete to waste his time and hung up lol. This looks like a scam and most likely is nonesense. I will report it to the police and will report it to HMRC.

SCAM Recorded message tells you that you are under investigation for financial activity and to press 1 for more details, before an arrest warrant is issued. Had several calls like this previously, never pressed 1 yet ( and still a free citizen, surprisingly) but it's highly likely that it would connect you to a premium line and charge some indecent sum to your phone bill.
AMAZON ‘Julie’ rang my landline and said she was from Amazon Security. An attempt had been made to purchase an iphone using my account at nearly £700. Said it was an emergency that I check my emails while she waited. Said I would phone Amazon Security once I had checked. Caller became more insistent and said we have to block them as an emergency to stop the purchase. Said I would phone my bank to prevent payment. She said bank wouldn’t be able to put a ‘stop’ only Amazon security. Caller hung up.

Seems to be used for some telemarketing call center - this range of numbers 12138934xx (common feature, they use more numbers of the same range) is mostly reported with Nationwide, URLIFESTYLE - life style survey, but also life insurance and PPI (insurance claims). Just block it if not interested (I use the app from these pages, no problems). People did they call you with the same or something new? I really don't answer unknown numbers and don't want to call them back...
Mark Edward called from AAB Legal insisting I have had an accident. I assured him that I haven t where he persisted in asking if anyone in my family had been involved in an accident. I highlighted that my number is registered on TPS and that he shouldn t be cold calling like this. He didn t seem to care. I have blocked AAB s number.
