SCAM The caller claims to be from Amazon and in this call discussed my having two Amazon Prime accounts, one with an annual fee and the other with a monthly subscription. She asked whether I wished to cancel the yearly subscription. I replied yes preferring to determine the account on a monthly basis. She then said she would send a text with a code that would demonstrate she was genuinely from Amazon. Shortly I received a text from Amazon which was an OTP - one time password. Coronavirus. Claimed to be from government updating records about coronavirus. This is the 4th call with this claim. They ask questions about vaccination and whether you have had the virus. They claim there is some government initiative to pay half of insurance claims relating to the virus. The whole exercise comes to a stop when I won't tell them who my life insurance is with. One call even suggested I make up a provider, so I suggested he make one up. Seems like a phishing scam.

cold calling - they pretend to be linked to lots if Life Assurance companies and acting on their behalf. They are not. Was bored and made up some data, they they pass you to someone who tries to sell you a policy. They quote the FCA many times - but when pushed confirm they are not regulated by them. Hang up, or have 5 mins of fun winding them up
