I answered this as it was my local area code, but turned out to be PPI claims. The guy had a northern accent, possibly Bradford area, which is unusual here on the south coast, so I reckon that this number is spoofed.
Claimed he was police stating that my national insurance number was under investigation and will soon be stopped. Definitely a con.

I was told my appointment was cancelled as I hadn't taken the call the day before (which was never made) and was laughed at and then refused to pass the details of his manager and hung up.
