Just received a call from this number. Guy in a busy call centre said he was calling about mis-sold finance or payment protection insurance prior to 2011. Said I d never had anything on finance, and the guy said he would remove my details from the database. In reality this just means they won t phone you again for that particular campaign, but you can guarantee your details are not deleted. Apparently this number belongs to a firm that has accused people of having debts when they do not, but just as many people have picked up the call to be greeted by silence. I get calls from criminals trying to get information daily so have stopped answering when I do not recognise the calling number.

called Canadian # to try to sell stock trading services and just wouldn't take 'No' for an answer. The guy with moderate slavic/middle eastern blended accent insisted that trading stocks have no risk. That I'm not interested in that game at this time just wasn't accepted and I had to hang up to end the call when he was pushing to have me speak with a trader. As if I will take such a gamble with a cold call from overseas.

Apparent unsolicited mortgage marketing call. They identified themselves as "Mortgage Review". Refused to answer my questions about who they were and what they wanted and why they had called, insisting I should identify myself first. They then tried to get me to put my wife on the line, becoming more and more irate. I would expect legitimate callers to identify themselves and their business before demanding information.
