A woman with heavily accented English called me this morning from a number with our local dialling code saying the call was from BT and there were reports that we were having trouble with the internet. No problems at all and I said so. She asked me to try the internet, so I told her I couldn’t hear her very well. She cut the call. Funny that! I phoned the number and was told it wasn’t in service!!

When I asked for more details they obviously had none just saying they could not divulge it and would pass me over to someone else. Mark Edward called from AAB Legal insisting I have had an accident. I assured him that I haven t where he persisted in asking if anyone in my family had been involved in an accident. I highlighted that my number is registered on TPS and that he shouldn t be cold calling like this. He didn t seem to care. I have blocked AAB s number. Please can the law punish this sort of cold-calling?
