Just got call, no one there when I answered
"Jordan from Towergate", a very persistent insurance salesperson who rings over and over again in the period when your current insurance is approaching renewal, trying to get you to switch to Towergate.
Caller from this number stated that hmrc were giving back tax paid on ppi claims. I was due over £6000! Proceeded to ask me help to fill R40 form, my date of birth and then my national insurance number. At that point I asked her to send me the form as I didn't want to give my details. I think this could be a scam.
