Woman, with London accent said she was from some advisory bureau and heard I had been in a driving accident. When I said I did not drive, she just repeated herself so I repeated myself and asid where did you get my number from? the phone was then put down on me- Avoid!

Phoned this number back. Apparently I had taken part in a survey and said I was interested in Over 50 s life insurance - I had not done so. Asked him to take me off the phone list but still getting calls.
Fraud
This number seems to be used by some call centre - I can see very similar numbers reported, all the same range just with last digits different. A common thing - telemarketing mostly uses a range of similar numbers. This one is mostly reported with PPI, insurance marketing, RTA - accident chasers, sometimes called themselves "First Call Group" - just another big call centre. Just block it or block the range, I have been using the mobile application from these pages, works fine, no problems. Blocked

I received a call today from this number. They knew my name and told me they were ringing about my computer and that someone had tried to hack into it twice. I responded by saying no one tried to hack into my computer and how did you get this number and they hung up. This was clearly a scam but the scary part about it was that I could hear he was in a call centre.

I was almost caught completely with this scam. I have been having problems with my internet speeds recently so believed them. Stupidly I did some of the things they asked me to check the speeds. Got suspicious when they asked me to submit me internet details in order to get the compensation that they claim I was owed. I got 4 phone calls from this number today, twice were silent when i answered and they hung up, then they claim that they are carphone warehouse and the store got my upgraded contrast wrong yesterday ( we do got a upgrade contract yesterday in the store. A
