When I tried to call back I got the ‘this number is no longer in service’ message, so I’m assuming it’s a scam

The people on the other end of this phone have confirmed by letter they are delivering me a phone on 23rd August 2012 and that my current phone will be switched off on 26th. I am now receiving phone calls telling me I am entitled to a free upgrade and cheaper phone rate. I have told them several times now over five days that this is already sorted and I am now still receiving phone calls. Claiming to be from HSBC say money has transferred to another account. I AM NOT with this bank,must be some sort of scam.

Definitely a scam call. These calls use spoofed numbers, originate outside the UK and are untraceable. NEVER GIVE ANY INFORMATION to an unknown caller. NEVER RETURN A CALL an...
