SCAM Recorded message saying my internet is going to be disconnected and to press #1 to speak my my internet provider. Nothing in the recording identifies the internet provider or me as a customer. Clearly a scam attempt.

Some person claiming to be from o2 offering me a 40% discount on my monthly phone bill.......due to covid 19!!!! I played along for a couple of minutes & they sent text message codes which someone could genuinely assume was from o2 as they had security warnings advising not to give the code out etc but when I said I was going to run her through some security questions & asked her the 1st line of my address they hung up. Automated CALL, says National insurance number to be SUSPENDED BY National Crime Agency, press one to speak to an officer. Don't press, I just let it run to waste their cash or not. BLOCKED!! Clearly not national crime agency!! contacting this way.
SCAM SPAM Fraud phone call as others have claimed that they pretend to be from O2 (probably trying to take advantage of the Virgin media/O2 partial merger) or hang up instantly. They don't leave voicemails or attempt more than once as it's an automated machine going through a number list.

SOLUTION: Whenever the phone rings with a number you don't recognise DON'T SAY HELLO OR MAKE ANY OTHER SOUND! Always wait for the caller to speak first.
