A guy just called me from this number and mumbled some company name (I think it was three initials but didnt catch it). He didnt explain what he actually wanted and simply asked if I could answer some questions about how I was "coping with the recession". I have been registered with the TPS for at least six years and asked him how he got my number -he said I must have shared it on a comparison site.I know that whatever info I would be dumb enough to share will be passed on to some other sales team to target

Similar numbers are already reported here with accident chasers - probably this one is the same case, same call centre? I don't answer unknown numbers and they left no message. SCAM Caller claimed to be from Energy Grant Advisory Service working k behalf of local council. I could find no such company online e, or on the local district council website. The caller did not understand what I meant when I said I had registered for TPS and insisted that he was no trying to sell anything. Had a missed call from this number today. They rang me a couple of weeks ago re PPI. I told them I wasn t interested & not to call again!! I asked how they got my number... They said from an online comparison site!! I used a comparison site back in November last year to compare car insurance. So be careful what info you give out especially phone numbers. They are a nuisance! If you cant block their number just don t answer to them & hopefully they ll get the message.
