This was a call from somebody purporting to be calling from the Times subscription department about a problem with my account. I was just suspicious and phoned the main Times newspaper subscription service number. They confirmed that the call from the Colchester number was genuine.

Got a dodgy call from this number from someone claiming to be O2. Dodgy accent and background noises. He wanted far too many details about me to have genuinely been a phone company for "security purposes". When I refused, tried to sell me phones and contracts.
