Lady with a Swedish accent phoned my number asking for my daughter by her full name. I said that is my daughter what is this about? She then went on to ask if we know about the european laws reguarding crypto currency and I realised it was probably a scam and hung up to google the number and found it listed 6 times on a swedish number look up website.

This number called me and it turned out to be Southampton Audi arranging an MOT. It was odd that it showed up as as a Portsmouth area code though, maybe they use a call center now.
They sent a WhatsApp message from "HR Recruitment" offering part time and flexible jobs. Poor gramatic, no photo. Too many red flags.

Too long a pause to wait for an answer. After I received this call my virus protector warned me that my computer was connected to an unsafe wi-fi link. It definitely had been OK before. Number belongs to Freedom car finance. Sometimes the text comes through hex coded text format which looks like gibberish but converted says stuff like "this is freedom finance we have your application blah blah!". Telemarker
SCAM SPAM Fraud phone call as others have claimed that they pretend to be from O2 (probably trying to take advantage of the Virgin media/O2 partial merger) or hang up instantly. They don't leave voicemails or attempt more than once as it's an automated machine going through a number list.

Scam insurance call from a company (coverplus) claiming that appliance cover for a washing machine had just run out. When challenged to say what the model of the machine was and when purchased they terminated the call.
