Fake call about a non existing internet connection problem. Claims to be from BT Open Reach and wants access to your computer.
Claimed to be a “Michael Fernandez” from Windows Technical Department.He told me that there has been a corruption with my computer and that he has to resolve it for me and started to give me directions on where to navigate on my pc. I stopped him and asked what exactly the problem was and he said it was something to do with the RAM and hardware and that if he doesn’t help me it will cause me major problems. I asked him for his number (0161 818 2022) - no answer naturally.
This number has rung me 3 times so far today, a foreign man speaks and Tells me my name and address and postcode as I did not reply straight away he hangs up

Yep Capquest (Arrow finance/pentagon finance/universal credit). This was an old debt from over 15yrs ago which was settle as a CCJ! No idea how they got my current mobile number (i m registered to stop these calls). Keep blocking them but they just use a different number. I can see at leat 4 numbers from the same range reported here with the same problem, people be really aware of this, if you pick it up double-check all info you provide them with...01614646170, 01614646171, ... all the same call centre.
