Fraud I lady called and said will ask you 5 questions just answer. Then she told me of an address I lived at. So I did not answer I asked why am I answering and who are you. She hung up.

An urgent verbal message on a loop advising me that Trojan software had been active on my system and that I should not switch off and should phone this number which I did - they said they were Microsoft (a residential number!?) The person wanted me to hold down the Windows and 'R' keys so that he could correct the problem. I asked him if that enabled him to take control of my machine and he then put the phone down. Seems dodgy.

Said they were from Carphone Warehouse. They hung up immediately when I said that I don't have anything from Carphone Warehouse. Seemed very fishy...

02077265400 cold called claiming to be from the Halifax but didn't know that i had an account with them.

SCAM This looked like a local number BUT it was a recorded message purporting to come from Amazon about a sizeable sum taken from my account for an order and to press 1 if it wasn't me who made the order. Needless to say I hung up without pressing any numbers.

Automated message left telling me there was a £300 and £1000 charge on my card. (No mention of which card). This was incorrect and therefore message is most likely a scam.

SCAM I was out when this number called. They did not leave a message on my answer phone but the number was recorded on my incoming call information system. Using a recall system it was found the number had become non-existent and was therefore no longer traceable. This would indicate that it is from a SCAM telephone number/company. SPAM Called me 8 times today between 11:35am and 1:03pm. The first 2 times disturbing my child who u was trying to get to nap. I eventually answered the call and they said something about financial services ltd Number blocked If it's important leave a voicemail, and not just a voicemail where all I can hear is you breathing!

Fraud Automated system that tells you your card has been used and to cancel it press a number to speak to someone. always inform your card's fraud dept when you get one of these calls, give them the details of the call including the phone number and the date/time of the call along with the number that you were contacted from so they can get it investigated.
