I must have had ten calls this last week from a company calling themselves UK Preference. Today s number used was 01612228888. The voice was an Indian male and was very persistent talking over me when I told him to take me off their calling list and to stop calling me. On one day last week I had three calls from this same company within one hour. Most annoying. I had to put my phone down in the end because they would not listen to me. Pre-recorded message claiming to be from bank saying there had been two suspicious transactions and giving options to press 1 or 2, depending on what response mine was. Voice was good RP English. Investigations and trackers located source to the Khram Pokrova Presbytery at Bogoroditsy in the New Soviet Union (Russian Federation) Republic of Mordovia.
Had a call from this number, said hello but just heard silence. Waited a few seconds and caller hung up. Will Add to block list of phone numbers.
Con artists! I am signed up to TIPS and if this was a legitimate company they would be following the code of practice set up. They do not follow the law. they use a recorded voice, therefore they are criminals. Another number for the call blocker.

This number called my mobile today but did not leave a message. When I returned the call, the number was not recognised. Presumably scam, spam or automated call. I do not answer unrecognised numbers any more.
