very dodgy! I have had several missed calls so when I answered a guy with a northern accent asked for myself (although had my maiden name and I have been married for 6years!) then he said he was calling regarding my insurance up for renewal and asked if that was correct... there was something very dodgy about this guy though as he kept repeating himself and was also laughing!!! I just apologised and said I was at work and cut him off. I have since blocked the number!

This number called me and when I answered no one responded - must have been cold caller so blocked for future calls from this number.

Caller is claims handling company - calling with incorrect data about person being called and ignores TPS / CTPS status of person being called.

has been calling me everyday now for almost 4 days approx 5-6tims a day and its annoying now i dont have a clue who they are and im also getting harrassing calls from another company also!!!! ive never applied for anything so why im getting it i dont know also im registered with the TPS so they shouldnt be calling!!!

Telemarketer who would not accept that I was not interested in call. In the end had to put phone down and he tried to ring back twice, I then blocked the number from calling my phone.

Received a call, foreign voice said ringing about accident I d had. They managed to get my name, address and accident details and sent me an email which they wanted me to open and click on the attachment to provide authority for them to send out documents for me to claim compensation. I told them I didn t need to claim compensation as only very minor whip lash, however they were very insistent saying that didn t matter and I was entitled to £3000 compensation. Several missed calls from this number, finally picked up and they wanted to to to sell me car insurance for Call Connections or something like that. When I told them I wasn t interested and asked for them to drop my number they just hung up!

We had one of these calls. Found their number - 0161 488 3888. Gave them a call and gave them a piece of my mind! Told them to remove my number immediately which they said they would. We will see!

silent call returned - offered free solar panels

Some life insurance company. Told them I m registered with TPS, they can t have known what it meant cos he carried on. Now blocked!

This number called with message about "every house needs to be done by 2016" plus "we are in your area" last week - some solar panel scam. Didn t answer - the message is recorded on my answerphone. Same message from 01316483485 yesterday - same result. This lot have probably rented fake numbers from a major phone company which offers them on its web site. Some firms offer call centres numbers which give the person called the idea that it is a local call.
