They rang me in the evening and said they were from UK Society and hoped I could help them. I replied that i was registered with the TPS so shouldn t be receiving unsolicited calls and asked them how they d got my number. He apologised and mumbled something I didn t catch due to his Indian accent, then carried on with his spiel about how he was sure I could help them! I said I was too busy and put the phone down.

This may be British Gas, but the number could be spoofed by scammers.
We get constant calls from this number EVERY day at least twice a day and at all different times of the day (even on Sunday evenings). We never answer any calls we don t recognise as we always check Online first to see if it s a trustworthy caller. A very annoying and persistent caller.

A little late here, granted. We are the actual Road Traffic Solutions Limited. We are a Traffic Management company based in Scunthorpe, operating nationwide. We are NOT in any way associated to the people making these calls. They use our name as a cover. We have reported this to the relevant authorities on a number of occasions. SCAM. Answered the call silent at first and then a malle answered started to introduce himself, then when I questioned where he had the number from as I was putting a trace on it, he hung up. Got a phone call an hour later from a similar number 01642278881 this time a foreign woman who stated to speak then hung up. I think they try and assess the age of the recipient of the call and if they sound old they continue with their call with a view to completing the scam.

I contacted them that I have dealt with PayPal directly as they are not trustworthy and it is not my problem if PayPal did not inform them. Today they left me a voice message calling me a b * t c h. Seriously? These monkeys didn t even get my name right.
