Called me awhile ago and I told them to do one so they contacted my elderly mother direct she is terrible memory problems the start of onset dementia they reduced her to tears threatening if she doesn?t pay now she?ll occur further bank charges I?m so so angry I had to rush to my mums and done 1471 when I tried to call it back it won?t connect. This is a scam - they claim to be HMRC (although he pronounced it HRMC!) and are asking for student tax to be paid. I told them that I am 16 and not working and therefore not eligible for tax. He - an Indian sub continent accented person - insisted I have to pay it until I informed him that I actually work for HMRC and this is a scam. He admitted it was and rang off. NOTE: I don't work for HMRC and I am not 16. BEWARE!!!!

Similar to others. I received an unsolicited and illegal call asked if I was having nuisance calls. I asked, "Apart from this one?". He did not understand, and repeated his query. I gave same response. He still did not understand and asked again. I repeated my response. There was a long pause as his brain cell woke up and then he hung up. Trouble is, BT want you to pay to stop calls like this, when someone should be taking them to task, especially as we have the evidence.
