SCAM 01772 (Preston Area) 791710 called at 11.15am, recorded message saying "card provider alerting unusual payments to Amazon & Universal Credit Transfer, Press 1 to accept / 2 to decline" But didn't say which card provider and didn't say how much the transactions were. Hung up and rung number back to get message "you have dialled a incorrect number". 99% certain this is a scam. None of my cards have this area code for card enquiries .

Some guy called "David" says he s phoning from the tax office with a rebate of ?3250, that the courier is waiting to deliver it to you once you confirm you can take delivery. Told him I thought he was a scammer, tax rebates do not come in this way!! And told where I thought he could go and place his head. Total scammers - beware!

Sent me information on buying carbon credits after me avoiding them for weeks - now they are trying to ring me 4 times a day - I just reject the call now ..... Rang twice and hung up. I saw it was a premium number so did not answer. The best way to notice a scam call is when the caller asks for you by surname (which they cannot pronounce) probably because the forename is not mentioned in the records as they see them. Then scammers ALWAYS ask how you are, which is often when they try pulling up more details from the records.
