Answered the call to an Indian woman claiming to be from carphone warehouse. Smelt fake $h1t from miles away. Ive never had dealings with them so challenged her. She swiftly ended the call without saying anything. Over 20 years of this bs and government has still done nothing to prevent it or hold phone service providers to account
This number called - I picked up the phone but did not speak. After 5 seconds the call was ended. I searched for the number and found reference to it on funnumber.in which has been mentioned against other numbers on this site. I suspect the call was spoofing the number and would have been one of the standard microsoft/openreach scams if I had spoken to one of their operators.

I ignore all calls coming into my landline number until the caller speaks. If no one speaks within a few seconds, I assume that I ve been called by an autodialler which is activated by the sound of my voice, and because I ve remained silent.... nothing happens, or I hang up. I then dial 1471 for the number and Google it. I never call any numbers they ve left for me to call. If they are too lazy to make any effort to contact me themselves.... then their call can t be that important!
They have called a number of times. They have either asked if I'm on the computer or just disconnected the call when I answer. It is usually a woman of Indian origin.

Had a call from this number just now. He said that he is from EE and started asking a lot of questions about my contact with EE. The sort of phone I am using, how long the contract is,...etc., I got suspicion because EE should have all those details without having to ask me especially as I am still in contract with them. Woke up entire household at 03:45am. Female loud English accent. “Annie where are you? Annie I know it’s you”. Advised her this is wrong number. No apology, keeps talking. “Who is this? Annie I know this is you “. I hung up on her.

PaymentShield Harassment Calls Warrington Area Code 01925598604. This harassing company called PaymentShield calls me at least 3 to 4 times a day between 12:00 to 16:00. Do not give them your DOB or any other details, apparently it may be a scammer watch out.
