The questions were related to finance, occupancy of home, insurance, driving habits, employment status so it sort of went with the territory. Designed to look like a Coventry number, but silence then hung up when I answered, so undoubtedly a scam on a power dialler - beware!

Asked for someone by name who doesn't live here. Weirdly, the name had same initials as me? They then said they'd remove my number from their mailing list...

Caller claimed to be from Talktalk legal dept in London, despite being Birmingham number. Said they needed to connect me to their server to investigate illegal access from abroad. Tried to talk me through downloading Teamviewer and give him the ID and password! Rang off when I said I would report to police.

Called regarding an accident in a VW Polo asked to speak to Mr XYZ... I said - politely - it is Miss XYZ and it is my car... was told that that was fine it may be my car but she needed to speak to Mr XYZ... Would not have it that there is NO Mr XYZ...

Not a UK number format. Unlikely to be identified on here, unless someone else has received the same call and answered it to find out. Nigerian mobiles have this number format.
