Then the new guy answered and said I had come through to him as I was looking for compensation. he then proceeded to tell me I had rejected a payout offer from my recent car accident and he was part of the team to make sure I get compensation, I fell straight into the trap and gave him a fair few details he then sent an email asking for an E signature. SCAM, called pretending to be Virgin media saying that people were accessing our internet once they started to ask certain questions I became sceptical. I asked why they hadn't gone through the normal security checks and they said they could confirm my internet line which any competent scammer can do and is not the usual security check I told them I would just change my password and they said it would not stop the problem :) so I said if they were genuine they should send me a letter

I ordered something from Argos website a few weeks ago while doing something else at the same time, and neglected to reverse the default status on the "let us sell your number to everyone" tick box. Now I m getting 2-3 calls a day from this number. My own silly fault for swimming with sharks.

This company is still at it but now calling off witheld numbers. I heard the words "accident" when I asked who they were. Told them never to call me again that my number was registered with Mobile Telephone Preference Service so therefore they should not be calling and that accessing my number from Gumtree for marketing calls was illegal before telling them to remove my number immediately or next time I will report them.
Didn't recognise No. so let answer machine deal with it:- Auto-Voice Telling us our BT Account would be terminated tomorrow due to fraudulent activity, and to Press-1 to speak to an advisor. Terminated call.
