Sent text message to my mobile claiming to be from BT - then asked name and BT number. I refused further information on the grounds that BT already have my address and was given some unbelievable story about my mobile number having come up in some other context. Two hours later, the same message arrived on my wife s mobile. Clearly some sort of scam but I do not know what.

a lady said I had 5 free tickets for euro millions for tonight, I asked politely for my number to be renoved as im not interested. she then said" well its a chance to win free money, im pretty sure you would be interested if you actually listened to what im telling you" she was quite aggressive! I had one called ruby (again indian sounding), my washing machine warranty was ending, let her go through all the spiel re cost etc, after shed finished I said I will take the highest cost one, but on one condition... tada, drum roll..... she tell e her real indian name and where in india she was based.. but, but, but lol,,, then as she kept speaking, i kept talking over her asking her indian name and where in india she was based and that it was a scam. she then told me to shut up then hung up on me :(

Accident helpline - Hornsea UK area code but was actually from Liverpool.
***Fraud*** Asian runt called saying they were Carphone Warehouse with offers for EE, O2, Vodafone and Three. Told the runt that I work for Carphone Warehouse and we no longer offer EE, O2 or Three (haven't offered Three since around 2010!!). Also told the runt that Carphone Warehouse no longer exists - surprise surprise the runt hung up!! Do NOT answer!!
