Ambulance Chasers! Phoning about "accident in last 2.5 years". A Glasgow number though not necessarily based there, using 0141 to increase chance of people in surrounding area answering call (as I did). Caller was polite enough and accepted my lack of interest without question.

SCAM Call from a foreign gentleman with no control of the English language. He advised he was calling about a recent accident claim. I shouted I was frustrated by the length of time it took him to get back to me, his colleague contacted me several months ago, he apologised and asked me to confirm the nature of my accident. I explained it occured while driving on the M25 I heard an enormous explosion and had to swerve to avoid an oncoming attack by the North Korean Military headed by Kim Jung-un. He hung up.

SCAM/SPAM. I was called on the 26/08/20 by this number. The caller said they were from SKY (my TV, telephone and broadband provider). He informed me that he was ringing to test my modem and improve its performance. He asked me to type a few commands which included the word “SKY”. He then asked me to permit remote access. Since getting new sim this number has called at least twice a day every day including sundays. Glad I ignored it as the first few calls only my children had my number so it was not anyone or business I knew. Cannot belive they can do this for over 2 months everyday when ddo they get the message. Now blocked the number so no more annoying calls at work
An automated message supposedly from BT stating that there was suspicious activity on my internet and that I was about to be cut off. There was an option to press 1 to resolve the matter. I didn't!
missed call when i rang it back line just goes beep then cuts off. Bad sign - trustworthy companies have a recorded message explaining who they are, etc. Did a bit of research - very worrying. consumer websites show people being asked for their bank card details then fees being debited that they werent expecting. Sounds like a scam or at least very, very sharp practise. Avoid answering or block number, is my advice.
