I had a phone call from 02922229992 clalming to be Eon, who asked if I wanted a 'Smart meter', they wanted my account details.... RED FLAG!!!!! Eon SHOULD have my account details - well, they certainly had my phone number. I contacted Eon and they told me to block the number it wan't them....! To be hones't I wondered if this was some dirty trick Eon had dreamed up - how would THEY know I had no Smart meter..... and how did they get my phone number, no prizes for guessing sorry. Answered call and voice identified himself as Energy advisor in area and asking to confirm as householder. Feeling polite, I responded yes but do not entertain cold calls and asked to end call. The voice continued making me believe it is voice-activated and not to be trusted. I put the phone down.

Spoof number. It doesn’t actually exist, so you can’t call them back. Just Indian call centre committing fraud. Do not answer. Block the number.

Indian call centre. Will try and persuade you to open windows event viewer and tell you the warnings in there are the result of being hacked.

Caller purported to be from Amazon. "We think a fraudulent order has been made on your account" Tries to get you to use Anydesk.com software to gain access to your machine.

Odd call. I picked up the phone and said hello and was answered (by a robot ?) which said goodbye. Methinks an obvious scammer.

Male non english accent called my landline from 07342065763 17 Jan 2023. Stated he was from Amazon security and that he had emailed me as someone had ordered a £600 phone on my account. I asked whose name was on the account as he said it was my name. I asked again whose name and he said D Maddison. When I say they don't live here he hung up. Obviously has some old phone records.

SCAM - initial recording warned my electric was going to be shut off in a few minutes. When I transferred to a "representative" it was what sounded like an Indian man. He asked my name and verified my address. Funny thing is, my electric bill is in a family members name. He told me the "balance" and the amount was incorrect because I have my bill in front of me and an a real call wouldn't give me info since the account isn't in my name without other info. Don't know who called me from this number. I jumped out of bed when the phone rang but I didn't pick up as I didn't recognise the number. It was 7:36 am ffs! Even the sun was still in bed where I live in Greater Manchester and I do't even know where Thanet is, never mind why someone from there would be phoning me at an ungodly hour. I highly suspect this was a scam call.

Know nobody in Reading which is the origin WHY is this still going on in 2023?m and nobody acts-NCSC/ICO/Action fraud don’t protect the individual Same with e mails-Those aforementioned Microsoft/Citizens advice and Which all meant to act-last two meant to escalate to Trading standards and do nothing! i've missed several calls from this number (or numbers where just the last number is different). They ring but then hang up very quickly and never leave a message. This is exactly what i would expect from some sort of scam/nuisance caller
