Sent text message to my mobile claiming to be from BT - then asked name and BT number. I refused further information on the grounds that BT already have my address and was given some unbelievable story about my mobile number having come up in some other context. Two hours later, the same message arrived on my wife s mobile. Clearly some sort of scam but I do not know what.

Grace from Genesis. I rang off. No idea who they are. I live in Devon and the number was 01642713000 which is Middlesbrough area.

So far they have called me 17 times this year. It is automatically blocked on my phone so does not ring but shows it is scam.

I didn t answer the call as I didn t recognise the number. I can see here how many times this number has been searched. This is enough for me to know not to bother answering the call.

I received a call from Chase Alexander from telephone number 07509701173. The guy had a Liverpool accent and stated I had had a road traffic road which is incorrect. They rang me a couple of times today. I could also hear laughing in the background, not professional and a very bad line. It s clearly a scam.

I Received a call from this number twice today and when i was able to answer they introduced themselves as Consumer helpline, the lady on the call advised that i had overpaid for finance in 2011 and she wished to help me get this refunded however i have never taken anything out on finance. I asked to submit a subject access request under the Data Protection Act where she then passed me to her manager. A young girl called Alisa, sYing she had information that I had caused a traffic collision, which is ridiculous, she argued that she had been given information detailing my involvement is a road traffic collision , she was argumentative, I hung up as she refused to listen to my words, trying to explain that I did not have a car, nir had I ever been involved in any type of car accident, and as a non driver, how could I be responsible for a car accident? She refused to listen to me, just kept talking over me.

Another call from 0121 285 9455 even though I am on TPS and the Do Not Call Registry. These people are obviously not checking these lists. They are a nuisance.
