A company called Motor Investigations telephoned me at 5.58pm on 6th Oct 2016. Supposedly calling regarding a claim in the past 12 months. (I ve not made a claim in the last 12 years!!). Told him I had not made a claim. The man then said that maybe my vehicle had been damaged by a third party possibly in a car park by someone banging their car door into my parked vehicle. This number called me this morning. I did a 1741. Not knowing the number, I looked it up on line and find it is a scam sight. Surely the phone company knowns who this is?
Contacted from this number by automated contact stating it was ‘bank security’ advising I had money taken from my account and asking me to press a number to speak to someone. Did not feel it was genuine at all.
Fraud - automated voice claiming to be from Amazon stating that your account has been compromised asking to press 1 to be connected to a premium call.

This number has changed owner. It was previously used by London Wedding Photographers, but is now owned by a legitimate software company.

This number called with message about "every house needs to be done by 2016" plus "we are in your area" last week - some solar panel scam. Didn t answer - the message is recorded on my answerphone. Same message from 01316483485 yesterday - same result. This lot have probably rented fake numbers from a major phone company which offers them on its web site. Some firms offer call centres numbers which give the person called the idea that it is a local call.
