SCAM... I was told I had a criminal case against me but the recording had an American voice... I didnt bother to keep going with the call as its a scam!!

Claim to be SERPS compensation team but very suspicious and unprofessional.
This number called me today, said she was calling from the Nationwide Building Society. The female Indian caller knew my name, told me my postcode and asked me to confirm if it was correct. I told her I don t have an account with Nationwide and that she s a scammer after my personal details.... then hung up on her haha!

this company is an ambulance chasing menace. register with the tps (including mobile numbers) and complain about them to get them investigated - it is now illegal for all but a few types of cold calls. if you still get calls after say two months complain to ofcom.

Called 3 times in two days, 17 & 18 Aug 2015, about my computer. I said I was being harrassed and asked to speak to manager, and the speaker rang off.
Credit check company. Tell them you re not interested and they continue to rant and rave over you. Told them it was an unsolicited call, the female has quoted the wrong law, she said good bye then waited for a response! aggressive mannerisms from the off and seemed to call for an argument!! Also didn t confirm the name of who the poor victim was she was calling for, just assumed I was it!!

Sent text message to my mobile claiming to be from BT - then asked name and BT number. I refused further information on the grounds that BT already have my address and was given some unbelievable story about my mobile number having come up in some other context. Very rude woman called. Initially all polite "I m calling from "Eco" - (something I could not hear) - "how are you today"? When I said suspicious of calls like this, she turned nasty - "you re not much of a man if you are scared of a cold call". Beware. Probably scammers.

I phoned this number back and it said THIS NUMBER IS UNRECOGNIZED so now I know. When I answered this number previously it was an Asian man with bad English from a lifestyle company doing surveys. I ve been a victim of fraud in the past so never do over the phone surveys especially from an Asian man with bad English. Also be careful when you phone someone afterwards as they are always still on the phone line.
