Fraud SCAM The caller claimed to be from mobile phone promotion department offering a discount. I established that the caller was a fraud and called them out at which point they stopped being polite and friendly and began to taunt and be abusive. This call has been reported to the UK National Cyber Security Centre.
This is a scam from the HRMC I suspect. Called saying that tax fraud has been raised under my name and to press 1. Very bad line, sounded like they were located in India. Became irate and unprofessional when I refused to give name.

I said no, and the first couple of times, they apologised, but today, just a couple of minutes ago, the guy that I was just speaking to was just a complete A hole, he bloody hung up on me without any explanation. Caller said there was a problem with the computer and that we should log in and they would help. I Questioned him about his phone number and address where he was located and he started shouting that I should end call or log into computer. Asked to speak to his supervisor and he said the same and that he would phone back later. I did not trust this call.

As other victims have reported sometimes they put the phone down when you answer, sometimes they ask for you by name and when you answer put the phone down. Why???? what is the point? Finally once when I called them back I got to speak to a supervisor called Stuart who has promised to stop the calls - we ll see......
