SCAM/SPAM. I was called on the 26/08/20 by this number. The caller said they were from SKY (my TV, telephone and broadband provider). He informed me that he was ringing to test my modem and improve its performance. He asked me to type a few commands which included the word “SKY”. He then asked me to permit remote access. This number rang my home phone then when it went to answer machine they tried twice to put in a code to access my messages.

Sent text message to my mobile claiming to be from BT - then asked name and BT number. I refused further information on the grounds that BT already have my address and was given some unbelievable story about my mobile number having come up in some other context. Two hours later, the same message arrived on my wife s mobile. Clearly some sort of scam but I do not know what.

Received a dropped call at 12:43 on 7/11/17. Added it to my blocked caller list on Plusnet Protect.

Very robotic voice suggesting an accident that wasn t my fault. Unable to respond to basic questions.

NEVER call an unknown number back. If you do so, you may unknowingly be calling a Premium Rate or International number which will incur a very large charge on your bill.
