SCAM My wife received an automated call form this number to her mobile advising her that she would soon be arrested in connection with tax avoidance. The voice asked her to "press 1" to speak to someone about it. Clearly a scam of some sort.

It is one of those days.....I have had three of these calls in one morning when exceptionally busy. Criminals make up these numbers - all fake and nearly always different - to call me to try to persuade me to fall for their story that there is something wrong with my computer or internet connection. Their aim is to persuade me to believe their lies and allow them to infect it with something that would be very serious if I fell for their story that they represent Talk Talk or B.T. It varies. somebody who works for the phone company told me they purposely have setup computers to automatically call peoples houses and then hang up. they said it makes the phone company profit by people simply answering and hanging up due to the lines being used. its a timewasting tactic. simply ignore it

SCAM Terrible line quality, man with strong Indian accent immediately started the call by telling me he could get me an iPhone 12 for £30 per month. I told him I wasn't interested in whatever scam he was peddling. He then claimed I could trust him because he worked for Carphone Warehouse. I asked him for his email address and if he worked at the head office in North Acton, to which he said yes but he couldn't give out his email address over the phone.

Call center: Lady saying she wanted to ask questions about my general household. The line was awful and I couldn't understand what she was asking me. I believe she may have said something about my washing machine, but can't be 100% certain. I put the phone down as she was too hard to understand and the line was very quiet.

Sainsburys calling re my grocery order
Started by asking for my wife. Told her she wasn't in. Then confirmed my name, said he was offering a call blocker for unrecognised calls for free. Mentioned that I paid for my phone bill by direct debit (who doesn't?) and then listed a load of banks, none of them mine. When I laughed he got annoyed and asked why. When I told him I didnt have any banks of that name, did he just want my sort code and account number, he was talking over me and telling me to listen!!! Cut him off. Be warned.
