Have reported them to Action Fraud and Ofcom. They used my number and I was receiving 100+ phone calls and 100+ text messages an hour demanding why I had phoned them. Very distressing. Reply STOP worked.

Called twice today. Answered 2nd call - "Mike (Punjabi) Smith", from 'BT'. Foreign person using my IP address for illegal purposes - would need to disconnect my internet for 5 days. Couldn't understand what the lady was saying as very strong Asian accent. Just been called and asked where they got the number. No response. She quickly hung up on me when I started asking questions. Undoubtedly a scam. I'm amazed these companies find this sort of thing worthwhile. Surely they just get hundreds of angry people on the phone every day with almost no take up of their scams.
