This was a recorded message telling me that a fraud case is being raised in my name (didn't mention my name though) and I should press 1 now to prevent a criminal case being reported to the police.
Can I just say that I have had a call from this number, and you all think it is due to having a quote / taking out insurance. I have never been on the website nor taken out insurance from more than so I don t think it is the actual company - don t end up cancelling insurance with them because of that.

Wondered who missed call was from.
Called me several times, insisting I had opted in. I used their website contact form to complain and to my surprise got a reply offering to tell me where they got my details, BUT for a fee of 10.00! They also said my numbers had been removed but they ve just called my mobile... They are now blocked. TPS/OFCOM/ICO are useless so long as these people can claim you have opted in. There needs to be a mechanism for checking and revoking opt-ins. Or better still make the default on all websites opt-OUT,

Automated voice claiming that my National Insurance number and bank account have been suspended. It said that I had been involved in criminal activity and that I was compelled by the department to press 1. I didn't press 1. after 5 seconds, the call was cut off.

SPAM and FRAUD - Shane called me today about my telephone line reducing my line rental - he said he could see I also had broadband (I don't). He was not from a telephone company - he should be ashamed of himself how does he (and the rest of the Indian callers) sleep at night. This number called my landline on the 10th of December at 11.18 I answered and said "This number no longer receives incoming calls" as I have had calls before from this number and know it is a scam. The number called again and the 11th December 11.31, 12th December 9.53 14th December 16.40 and again 15th December 15.33 again I answered with the message I had said before. getting fed up with it now.
