PPI SCAM AVOID ANSWERING

Automated message claiming to be from amazon, the fact ive not got an amazon account tells me this is a scammer, now blocked.

They called me several times. The first time I picked it up there was noone speaking and after 5 second they hung up. The second time I just heard an automated message saying the office was already closed and geve time options to call back. this was strange from the beginning. They are AG Legal calling about a car accident they claim I?ve had. Of course I had no car accident. They told me something about money they have for me.. Please, stop it. I?m going to block the number.

The people on the other end of this phone have confirmed by letter they are delivering me a phone on 23rd August 2012 and that my current phone will be switched off on 26th. I am now receiving phone calls telling me I am entitled to a free upgrade and cheaper phone rate. I have told them several times now over five days that this is already sorted and I am now still receiving phone calls. Anon, Myrtle s comment is correct at that date. It is, or was, a technical help number for out of warranty BT phones. Bit cheeky of them to use a premium rate number, though.
