Had random calls from this number last year, some lasted over 100hr but I didn't get a phone cal or anything. 243hrs was the longest one. Probably a scammer trying to listen to conversations etc
This number just phoned me again but when I answered, no one said anything and then finally the line went dead.

This number is making calls and either being rude to people or hanging up when the call s answered. The number is not an actual UK number, it s being used by someone from overseas as a link for when the call is generated, and so that it can get past the TPS service. Whoever is making the calls using this number should be found and stopped. They are nuisance calls.

As stated by Max above - The caller said he was calling from British Gas and said they have had technical issues and they need my electricity meter numbers. I work in the energy industry and I am aware they can access this via the national electricity database (ECOES) - as my supplier they are fully entitled to use this. I challenged him and he continued to give excuses. I then terminated the call.

Receieved a call from this number a few minutes ago. Not sure why someone from Oswestry would want to call me but answered anyway. Repeated calls from this same company with an automatic voice message saying it is a "government awareness call" and asking me to press 5 for an information pack or 9 to opt out. Pressing 5 takes me through to someone who hangs up on me immediately when I start asking about his company or asking for my number to be removed from their database.
