Had this number, 01619390228 call me a few times recently, they don t let the phone ring very long, have never left a voice message and on trying to call the number I get an engaged tone, will try to get to my phone quicker next time to answer, reckon it s a scam call, shouldn t be allowed !! This caller claims to be calling from BT Openreach stating that someone tried has changed the IP address of my computer. The caller is highly argumentative and continued to try and push a false narrative, even though I made them aware I knew it was a scam. I hung up, blocked the number and reported it to BT. Was called this morning about 10am was a recorded message, saying we need your authority to pass payment to amazon of £500, and also about a £1000 that needs authorising, the recorded message was crackling and hard to hear all but i just hung up. then did 1471 to see who it was as they made out it was my bank wanting authorisation.
Caller says he represents some company. His english was poor, nor clear. nOffering the latest iphone for £35 a month. nYeah right! nPull the other one.
