They ve called my mobile 20 times in the last week. Claimed to be from Motor Insurance Database UK. This is a number from Macclesfield. I asked "is your Co. in Macclesfield?", to which they replied "errrr uh-huh". I asked if they could give me their website details and they hung up. Total scam /. fraud scumbags.
Been getting dozens of these calls since I visited uswitch.com three weeks ago. Whenever I register with one of those sites I always am careful to tick, or untick, any boxes that instruct them NOT to contact me. Haven t received any emails so somebody is selling my details on, or they are just B4stards!

This is a computer scam. I played along in order to waste their time and to get insight into their methods. There is a warm-up act and a main act to follow. Their first tactic is to say they will cut off your computer unless you cooperate. They take you to Event Viewer administrative events in order to show you a scary page with yellow warning triangles and red error messages. Then to another caller for their main strike. Fraud Pretending to be from Sky technical department and that my router was giving me problems.. it was sometimes fast and sometimes slow, (aren’t they all ?) anyway, I told him I didn’t have a router, so he asked if I had a cell phone, I told him no, then the call ended.. probably trying to find someone else with a dodgy router. !
