Had previous calls about a proported car accident before from different numbers. I will log the number with TPS so it gets know more widely as one to block/ignore.
Pretended to be from telephone preference service. When I asked if he was from same people who used to claim to be from Microsoft, he hung up.
Keeps calling and asking for Mr Batt. Indian accent. Have politely asked them not to call our number, but they keep calling. Beyond annoying. More like harassment.
Enjoyed stringing him along, the man from First Response / MIB (Motor Insurance Bureau) I asked if he meant the Men In Black, as he was calling to see if my RTA had been sorted out, I asked which one he was referring to as I said I have had few LOL, he couldn t give the information he was referring to but said in the last 2.5 years. Scam National Insurance Scam saying NI number has been compromised. Automated message, no doubt wanting the victim of the call to press one to be connected to scammers. I put the phone down when I heard the message and cut off the call. Having seen resent warnings about this scam, I was already aware of it. Don't act on the call and hang up. Government bodies don't call people in this way. BEWARE. DANGEROUS.

"We re calling because Unite the union has arranged for all of its members to have a free PPI check". Haven t heard of this from the union. He didn t give his company name. To be fair, he was pleasant and said thanks and goodbye as soon as I said I wasn t interested. Blocked the number now.
Keep calling even tho I didn t answer, when the son accidently answered cos I wasn t near the phone he told me who thery were. It is no use you asking/telling them to remove your number because they don t. I actually changed my number for this reason, and guess what? today they tried ringing my new number. It is now set to block and no matter what you tell them they just keep trying.

SCAM The guy calls and says the warranty on my 13 year old machine is expiring today and as its still in woorking order, they have an offer from £12pm to £9pm... I didnt even have warranty on the machine. I hung up the call, he calls back and says : Are you feeling alright? I asked him, ARE YOU FEELING ALRIGHT? and hung up on the c*** again. SCAMMERS, BLADY SCAMMERS.

SCAM / SPAM This was an English speaking polite male telling me that the Government funded insulation in my loft could be causing damage to my property and he wanted to arrange a visit to examine it. Fortunately before the call went any further he mentioned the "foam insulation" and when I said it was not foam in my loft he rang off. OBVIOUSLY A SCAM. He didn't get round to asking for bank details but I am sure he would have it I hadn't realised what he was up to.

Sent text message to my mobile claiming to be from BT - then asked name and BT number. I refused further information on the grounds that BT already have my address and was given some unbelievable story about my mobile number having come up in some other context. Two hours later, the same message arrived on my wife s mobile. Clearly some sort of scam but I do not know what.

I ignore all calls coming into my landline number until the caller speaks. If no one speaks within a few seconds, I assume that I ve been called by an autodialler which is activated by the sound of my voice, and because I ve remained silent.... nothing happens, or I hang up. I then dial 1471 for the number and Google it. I never call any numbers they ve left for me to call. If they are too lazy to make any effort to contact me themselves.... then their call can t be that important!
