This number keeps calling me, it is a real nuisance as I am job hunting due to redundancy and all I get is this number. They never leave a message either.
A Google search suggests that the number, if genuine, belongs to a company called Steel Plus 1, based in Romford, Essex.

Pretending to be from Virgin Media Cyber security department, informing me that there is someone in California using my IP address for illegal purposes, but he would help me sort it out. Refused to tell me the name on the account or the account number because it was a recorded call, having told me it was a secure line and that he would "prove" to me that he was from Virgin if I gave him the information he asked for.

I got a text saying this number had tried to call me when I was next to the phone at the time and it hadn t rung at all. I don t trust it automatically. Also I was able to find this number online which means others also don t trust it. Therefore I don t trust it. Fed up with these sorts of calls.

Told them it sounded odd and if they give me a number I ll check it out and get back to them and they put the phone down. Second time I was told to lie about a loan I had not taken out to a different department. They knew my name and address. Not happy.
