This number seems to call me almost daily, and it has been going on for months. I get so many nuisance calls that I do not pick up unless I recognise the number, so I don t know what they are calling about

Same experience. Voice recording of a supposed Maisie Wilkinson. I said yes to accident and was transferred to what sounded like a call centre in India. They told me they were UK based and when i asked for their registered company number they hung up.

foreign speaking lady who said her name was Carol Johnson calling from a government refund department,stating I was going to receive ?2800 refund on a bank loan I took out in 2005. The department had been investigating claims which were turned down by the banks, but this dept, had found there was money owing to customers. I was one of the lucky ones, I was asked how I would like to receive the money, either paid straight into my bank account or by cheque. I opted for cheque. I was told a courier who was a

recording purporting to be from Inland Revenue, saying I was about to be hit by a big lawsuit and insisting I call a number which I was unable to write down. Obvious tosh

This number has come up 39 times and each time the person hangs up. Does he/she realise that by calling from the USA to UK is going to cost them as our line is low call for UK mainland and premium for International private callers. Who ever is running this has got to have a 1st Class Honours Degree, with a PHD and a Masters in Utter Stupidity.

Definitely a scam. BT, Openreach, TalkTalk, Virgin etc., will never call you about a technical issue unless you contact them. NEVER call unknown numbers back and NEVER press ...

Spam call, claiming to be from BT and saying hackers have got into your computer but BT will help you to sort it out. If you say you're not with BT, that doesn't bother them as they just say BT is the overall company and they're just protecting you. 'Annie' hung up when I insisted she was a scammer.
