They rang me in regards to my SIPP with Avalon. I lost out on alot of money when Charles Derby (IFA) moved me over to a personal pension without explaining the risks. This company, think it's called claiming for you or something, are going to put in a claim on my behalf as i have no time to do it myself & are not charging me a fee. They will take a percentage of any money they win back for me.

She said I need your name, I SAID NO, YOU CALLED ME SO YOU SHOULD KNOW MY NAME, THEN she hung up.

I believe this is a cold caller who has somehow, along with two others since blocked, has my mobile number - guessing via software as only family have the number they are ringing. Rings a few times then goes off - ringing the number back produce a constant engaged tone. Another number that'll be getting blocked. Indian sounding genteleman called, asked me if I was Mr >>>> XXXXXX. He got my name correct but I lied and said "No". He then asked are you a family member? I said "No". He obviously realised I wasn t telling him the truth and he started pretending to cry that I wasn t a family member! Then just hung up. This sort of thing wouldn t normally bother me but the call started identically to a worrying scam that happened earlier today. I have barred the call on my handset and would suggest you do not answer

It s a (very well done) recorded message about an accident that isn t your fault. If you say anything else other than "yes" the call terminates.
