Recorded message suggesting if had debts of more than ?6000 they could assist with a repayment plan - opted out but still call!! These companies are now skirting the law by having a bonified mobile number - time to act me thinks?

They are scammers - they do nothing for the money and role over the contract automatically. Do not pay them any more money and just keep telling them that their contract is invalid.

I know many people who will no longer answer their landline unless they recognise the callers number. It is businesses like IJT, boiler-room scams and PPI Claim companies who have changed the telephone from a useful tool and friend into a nuisance ridden pain in the arse. Well done everyone!
