Caller claimed she was from BT and that other people were using my internet line. She wanted me to test something using my computer. She knew one of my email addresses, but not the one provided by BT. She gave daft or evasive answers to my questions. This appears to be a scam with the aim of getting me to provide personal details or perhaps remote access to my computer.

My husband has unfortunately been duped by this company - Clearview partnership. Tell them you want to buy something, put the phone on a table and get on with your day, washing dishes, reading the paper, listening to the radio, say something every now and again to keep them there, waste their time, waste their money, keep em hangin on. SCAM 07863565449 Called offering to make money from investment/share dealing for a €300 investment. Asked for my email address, I gave a fake one, he guessed it was fake and told me my very old work email.
AMAZON automated call purporting to say my account has been fraudulently used.
Called, i answered and it immediately hung up. I immediately blocked.

Yes this is HSBC. I have an account with them and this was my LOCAL branch calling to make sure I was aware of changes and to ensure I was using the acc correctly. Very pleasant lady and took 5mins of my time. No problem to report.

Constant missed calls for a week. I answered and it was a polite lady from Vodafone trying to sell me something. She knew my name as I am a customer. When I said I was busy she said she will call back another time. This number does not appear on the Vodafone authorised numbers list although it is only one digit out from a lot of their numbers.
Told them I belong to the TPS , but they keep on calling & would not remove my no from the data base without me confirming my personal details... Dream on you con men - I m not that stupid!
