Insurance - scam - sending me maintenance policy renewal papers for my (16 year old) washing machine and (a twenty year old refrigerator). Aimee was very nice but on a loser with this nonsense. She did not know what brand or how old they were but was quite adamant they had been insuring them since installation but could not tell me which bank had been paying the premiums so wanted such details..Amazingly they ARE that old but spares that still work very well when(rarely) needed.

Called from this number 08.31 today - caller claimed to be from my bank and that there had been suspicious payments on my bank card. This was followed by the usual requests that I press numbers to confirm or reject these payments, I did neither just hung up and checked my bank information.

2 phone calls within 2 minutes of each other, from number 07921057599. It was a recorded message apparently from Amazon Prime... They're using recorded messages now to bug people because even THEY can't be bothered to to speak to people anymore, and yet WE are supposed to be interested!!! LOL I have had dozens of these phone calls during Covid Lockdown, the parasites don't give up do they?

Pre-recorded message claiming to be from BT but not sure why a British company would use someone ( or voice generation software) with a mid-Atlantic accent to deliver a message to a UK-based customer. Some rubbish about disconnecting my Internet if I don t follow instructions which, undoubtedly, would involve me in racking-up a huge phone bill, i.e. if press either 1 or 2 as instructed. I hung-up. A variation on the SCAM calls from India about problems with internet account.
