Possible scam. Women said she was from Amazon and they'd noticed unusual activity on my Mum's account. Told her to press 1 if she hadn't bought something for £700. Mum was suspicious, rang off, got the number by dialing 1471 then rang it back. Women who answered refused to give her name and said she hadn't called Mum and didn't work for a company.

Do NOT under any circumstances send them a “deposit” or holding fee, or any sort of money up front. You will never see your item, and they are not from the town or city they claim to be but are in fact hundreds of miles away.

I ve been getting these car accident calls for about 10months, it s the same female voice each time. I ve previously tried reporting them to the TPS. Get them once-twice a week or every 1-2 months. Swearing at them seems to delay the next call.
Recorded message, very mumbled.... about a foreign country , to stop or authoritise press 1.

Received text message claiming to be from Royal Mail as I refused to pay £2.99 with link to reschedule delivery. Did click on the link which was very stupid , ( I was expecting the parcel ) but nothing happened and no other details from me were asked . It was just a blank page. this number called me today at 10:51 it said that I was doing something illegal and would be cut off from the internet today. I was to press number 1 to talk to an adviser. NOT GOING TO. I called the number and it is one of those that goes dead when you finish dialing.
