Challenged this and told him that I would be pursuing Tesco through the the Information Commissioner as they were in breach of the General Data Protection Regulations.....very quickly hung up on me!! Do not know who called as I did not give them the time to say who they were. An Indian sounding man wanted to speak with another family member (who uses my address for parcel delivery, he is always at work) so clearly his name and my address are being sold on to scammers. Be careful with this one.
Received call apparently from a bot at Santander, on a mobile number I had given them. It appeared to know my name & day/month of birth, and details of two recent transactions I made on the account. It asked for only very limited information (year of birth) and confirmation that the transactions were genuine (they were). So, probably OK.
