SCAM. Indian accent, hectic indian call centre background, typical scammers, they said they recieved word this morning from the UK government that I was in debt. They failed to provide my full name, my address, or any information as to how they got my number other than 'from the government' It's a bit funny because they tried this last month as well off a different number when the government contacted their office to get in contact with me that morning too, they know nothing but your number and partial name
Fraud. Pretending to be an officially registered body threatening legal action. Do not accept responsibility.

The guy just went straight into a script, no explanation of why he was calling or what the company were about. I put the phone down, "Grants" and Windows were mentioned.

I wish they would leave a voicemail message when they ring. I just missed their call and as there was no message I assumed it was a scam call. we get a lot and would never ring the number back unless there was a message left saying who it was and why they were ringing. but I would ring 150 from the landline if I'd known it was virgin regarding my problem. only trouble is that you can be waiting for over an hour before you get an answer! not happy with virgin at all.

A woman with a West African accent phoned me at 4.30 pm on 12th July 2012. She asked me how my "claim" was progressing and whether she could help. Obviously a telemarketing call because there was the usual buzz of conversation in the background. SCAM - Told them to take a number off the list as the person has a memory dissorder. Have called daily after that, telling it is the first time they call. Different numbers, but same person called back right after from this number. She called from RCN Investments and if that is true, that she called because the person wrote her number at THEIR webpage- then they have sold the number to several other companies, because the phone is calling several times a day after the day she register on a web-page.
