Just another B.... pest. Let s have some sense and responsibility brought into this non-sensical area of using the telephone as an "in" for crude and agressive selling of some service that we neither need nor want!!!!
I am pretty sure this is a dangerous scam....Informing me not by any name, that they are from fraud team investigating my insurance number which has been suspended due to being stolen and used !!!!!!! Just to say ignor this as they ask you to speak to one of their officers !!!!!!!!!!!! Which then I presume will request all your personal details etc. You would never be contacted in this way by a government dept.
SCAM - Text message - Simon attempted to deliver today but no one answered. Reschedule & track parcel at... giving a link. Clearly a scam. Did not click on the link and have blocked the number.

TAXES / HMRC automated message, American accent apparently from HMRC. Changes from UK to US terminology through the call. Threats of arrest and court warrants unless you call the number they give you.
Constant harassment from this number. I don t answer, but they never give up and call up to 10 times per day (and evening)
No idea who called! Male caller said hello and I responded. No further conversation but could hear busy call centre background. Blocked the number as it is from a call centre.

When I answered there was a short delay then obviously a busy call centre with numnerous conversations taking place. The caller had a very strong Indian accent and it was impossible to understand what she was saying, not helped by the background noise. Typical of many other scam phone calls. I left the phone on but ignored the conversation until the caller closed the line.

Got a call today from some guy asking for me by name (which I didn t acknowledge - I never do.) I immediately asked who was calling to throw him off his spiel, unfortunately he mumbled his "company" which sounded like s&l legal? and immediately launched into his sales patter regarding the mis-selling of PPI. I let him ramble on for a few then interrupted him by saying I worked in the banking industry and could run rings round him with regards this. SCAM, just got a call from this mobile number claiming it was the HRMC calling - automated of course, saying that a fraudulent claim had been put against my name and I have to press 1 to get connected as other wise I will be arrested shortly! Sick these people! I put the phone down and then rang that number back, and of course no reply!
This is a Credit / Debit Card Protection Insurer number, cost me about 20 pence a minute, rang to cancel policy but had high call volume, so wrote by letter and last Direct Debit refunded.

The point of the scam is to find gullible people who will believe what they say. They are crooks who once they find a victim will ask them for personal details and /or credit card/bank details "So we can proceed with our refund to you" They then commit identity fraud or empty your bank account. Obviously you were the ones they were looking for for them to steal your hard earned money from. Called yesterday trying to drum up business for UK Essentials. Possibly the same "Lady" (Based on accent) called again today asking for my wife, when politely asked what they wanted, initially guessed I was her husband, when asked again what they wanted, they told me they were asking the questions not me and that I should **** off before hanging up.
This number rang me at home at 06.52am - it rang once and then went off. I didnt call back. No one calls me that early so I ignored it.

I am a bit confused. They called in asking to check the Fibre Glass on our roof for health and safety inspection. They knew my surename but never mentioned my first. The chap on the phone spoke very fast, couldnt get a hold of company name or anything like that.

I was called from this number approx. 5,00pm this evening, and answered to a recorded female message advising me that my Amazon Prime account had expired, and that a charge of £95 would be made to automatically renew it. As I do not have a Prime account, I did not listen any further to the message, which I suspect was going to advise me to press a digit on my phone, to speak to an adviser, from where details of my Bank Account would be required!! I hung up halfway through the message.
