Arrived within email - “thedomainbureau.co.uk” Very suspect email.. looks like a domain renewal scam .. fake invoices for real domain renewals. I phoned the number - said they were a Utility discount company or words to the effect that they give quotes for cheaper utilities.. the woman answering did not recongnise “domain bureau” - which suggests what? Either folk at that business are running (multiple) scams, or denial is how they avoid people confronting them.. “plausible denialbilty”

Allegedly a company who had my details because I’d shown interest in trading!!! Total lies .....never done anything like that. The woman was getting irate because I repeatedly said I wasn’t interested. In the end I told her I was ending the call. I hate being rude to these people but sometimes you just want to tell them to eff off and leave you alone. They are persistent and I feel dangerous to certain members of the public who are vulnerable and taken in by their rubbish.

Many calls during the day. Some unanswered. When I did get to speak to someone, they asked for Mr John living at a completely different address. I told them it wasn t me and they hung up immediately. SPAM: I received two consecutive missed calls from this number which were minute apart. Phone rang once and ended. Same number called again which only rang once again.
