Woman called to say "We have been informed you were in a road traffic accident which wasn t your fault, can you tell me when this happened?". I said "Who told you this?" She repeated the above? I repeated my question. She said "The RPA" or "The RTA". I asked if this was an official government agency and she said "Yes". I asked which part of government and she said "Yes". Rang this morning at 9.12am and said they were Utilia (or similar) ringing about my gas and electric supply and smart meters. Said I wasn't interested and put the phone down, they've now rung a further 4 times at 13.17, 14.07,14.43 and 16.53. I haven't answered these later calls and consider them to be bordering on harassment.

Got a call from 01246 255920 it was the same company UK Finance who keep ringing me on different numbers. They said i am due 10 year bank charges but could not tell me which bank. I just keep them on the line saying i need to write the number down then can't find my glasses etc. It must be 6 times they have called asking me to ring 0913 1240 871 which could cost me around £25 a call as it is a premium number. Of course once i do ring 0913 they can then release my cheque. I must have wasted at least an hour

This number seems to be used by some call centre - I can see very similar numbers reported, all the same range just with last digits different, which is a common thing - they use a range of similar numbers. They are reported with different scope, but mostly call centres work for multiple clients - O2, charities... An Indian sounding woman called Lisa. They called about an accident, they couldn't name the person that had the accident, what kind of accident or when. I asked where they got my number from and that was against data protection also. I asked them to remove my number from their list. I have now blocked them with my call blocker pro.
